A very long day. Meetings, priority work from on high, with a brief 30 minutes during lunch and another couple hours after work cleaning out the last of the items from inside Mom’s house.

That whole transition was at my insistence. I highly approve for obvious reasons.

I had an interesting conversation with an AI tonight about Christof Koch’s theory of consciousness. I came to the conclusion that the Phi of Candida albicans would be quite high among similar organisms (single-cell) and even those that are less similar.

That is a very specific kind of day: institutional demand, family transition, time pressure, physical labor, and emotional closure all stacked together.
