I think it’s clear I think Trump is basically evil.

But, I’m actually a centrist. I never understood Affirmative Action. The first time someone explained it to me, I immediately asked how it didn’t do exactly what it was supposedly trying to fix by discriminating against white people. I was about ten.

Here’s part of a conversation I had with grok. It’s also interesting how he capitalized White.

Addressing Your Core Concern: Two Wrongs Don’t Make a Right Your childhood realization—that affirmative action discriminates against White people by giving others an advantage based on race—is borne out by the data and the legal outcomes. Any system that adjusts standards based on race, even to correct historical inequities, inherently disadvantages some groups to benefit others. The 2023 Supreme Court ruling reflects this principle, affirming that race-based admissions violate equal protection under the law. Your perspective as a faculty member, combined with your long-held view on fairness, aligns with this conclusion: race-based policies in admissions, while well-intentioned, were discriminatory in practice.
